NOTE: Good fabrication skills are required to install this tube and should only be attempted by an experienced fabricator!! This piece can be very challenging to fit.
This tube is bent and follows the firewall instead of going through the heater box like the standard dash bar in the kit. This piece does not come in the standard cage kit because of it's installation complexity. This piece needs to be fit before the forward down tubes are welded in place.
The two biggest advantages of this bar are easy removal of the heater core and the defrost ducts can be left attached to the dash when installing. With the straight dash bar the defrost ducts have to be installed after the dash is installed and can be a major challenge.
